About Our Medical Director

Dr. Brian W. Chaney has been our center’s Medical Director since 2008. Dr. Chaney graduated from the University of Louisville School of Medicine and completed his Residency in Family Medicine.

Dr. Chaney currently serves as Chief and Chairman of Board of Directors for the Graham Fire Department, Medical Advisor and Instructor for the Kentucky Fire Commission and State Fire Rescue Training. He is acting Medical Director for Kentucky Community and Technical College System – Owensboro and serves as Medical Director for the Emergency Medical Team training program.

He is the Deputy Coroner at Muhlenberg County Coroners Department and is an Incident Command staff member and acting Medical Director for the Trover Foundation. Dr. Chaney is Chief of Staff at Muhlenberg Community Hospital, as well as serving on their Physician Advisory Board and the Board of Directors.

Along with his other responsibilities, he is an Assistant Professor, at both the University of Louisville’s and the University of Kentucky’s School Of Medicine, Department of Family Medicine. He is the Team Physician for the Department of Athletics at Muhlenberg County High School. Dr. Chaney is also belongs to the Honorable Order Of Kentucky Colonels, the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Medical Directors Association.

When he has free time, Dr. Chaney enjoys photography, SCUBA diving, bowling, fire and rescue, and emergency management/incident command.
